Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EBEBFFFF GFGFFFFF

Comin' or goin' still they spread the newsA
About America how grand it isB
The wonders that are waitin' you to chooseA
And gold that common that like sand it isB
And here you stick says they Like some old treeC
Stuck in the bog belaboured by all seasonsD
What's ailin' ye says they Well leave them beC
I have me reasonsD
-
There's Cormac's Hugh come back with all his talkE
Spreadin' and spendin' like a king he isB
The people flockin' down the way he'll walkE
Till in the middle of a ring he isB
But where's that one whose face was like a roseF
The day he went betwixt her tears and teasin'sF
Married these five years gone where no man knowsF
Faith I've me reasonsF
-
A likely lad they say What's ailin' youG
The gold and riches over there it isF
Sure I'm not doubtin' what they say is trueG
They have me leave to hurry where it isF
'Tis I will hold the treasure that enduresF
The while I'm listenin' to their talks and treasonsF
Oh Sheila girl those two blue eyes of yoursF
Faith I've me reasonsF
