The Silent One Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEA GEGE EAEA HIHJ

The moon to night is like the sunA
Through blossomed branches seenB
Come out with me dear silent oneA
And trip it on the greenB
-
Nay Lad go you within its lightC
Nor stay to urge me soD
'Twas on another moonlit nightC
My heart broke long agoD
-
Oh loud and high the pipers playE
To speed the dancers onF
Come out and be as glad as theyE
Oh little Silent oneA
-
Nay Lad where all your mates are metG
Go you the selfsame wayE
Another dance I would forgetG
Wherein I too was gayE
-
But here you sit long day by dayE
With those whose joys are doneA
What mates these townfolk old and greyE
For you dear Silent oneA
-
Nay Lad they're done with joys and fearsH
Rare comrades should we proveI
For they are very old with yearsH
And I am old with loveJ
