The Introduction Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAB BCBBC BDBBD

I'm askin' you'll be easy for a bit SirA
The lad's had little but a thrush's schoolin'B
The blue skies and the fields the little whipsterA
'Tis time enough for something more But whisperA
He'll go the better for an easy rulin'B
-
Herself was always for the bit of readin'B
But Denny here he's great for growin' thingsC
There's not a primrose that he'd not be heedin'B
Herself is right 'tis graver things he's needin'B
The thrush is tamer when you clip his wingsC
-
I'd never have you spare him with the learnin'B
And Faith 'tis little that the lad has hadD
But if above his task you'll see him turnin'B
To watch the fields 'tis just the thrush's yearnin'B
I'm askin' you'll be easy with the ladD
