Terminal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDED FGGFHH

Riding home from credulous blue domesA
the dreamer reins his waking appetiteB
in panic at the crop of catacombsA
sprung up like plague of toadstools overnightB
refectories where he reveled have becomeC
the holstery of worms rapacious bladesD
who weave within the skeleton's white wombE
a caviare decay of rich brocadesD
-
Turning the tables of this grave gourmetF
the fiendish butler saunters in and servesG
for feast the sweetest meat of hell's chef d' uvresG
his own pale bride upon a flaming trayF
parsleyed with elegies she lies in stateH
waiting for his grace to consecrateH
