Soliloquy Of The SolipsistA
I-
I walk aloneB
The midnight streetA
Spins itself from under my feetA
When my eyes shutA
These dreaming houses all snuff outA
Through a whim of mineC
Over gables the moon's celestial onionD
Hangs high-
-
I-
Make houses shrinkE
And trees diminishF
By going far my look's leashG
Dangles the puppet peopleH
Who unaware how they dwindleH
Laugh kiss get drunkI
Nor guess that if I choose to blinkE
They die-
-
I-
When in good humorJ
Give grass its greenK
Blazon sky blue and endow the sunD
With goldA
Yet in my wintriest moods I holdA
Absolute powerJ
To boycott any color and forbid any flowerJ
To beL
-
I-
Know you appearM
Vivid at my sideA
Denying you sprang out of my headA
Claiming you feelN
Love fiery enough to prove flesh realN
Though it's quite clearM
All you beauty all your wit is a gift my dearM
From meL
