On The Difficulty Of Conjuring Up A Dryad Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCDE FGHIJKL MNOPQQOO ABBARRSS TGGUVRW

Ravening through the persistent bric bracA
Of blunt pencils rose sprigged coffee cupB
Postage stamps stacked books' clamor and yawpB
Neighborhood cockcrow all nature's prodigal backtalkA
The vaunting mindC
Snubs impromptu spiels of windC
And wrestles to imposeD
Its own order on what isE
-
With my fantasy alone ' brags the importunate headF
Arrogant among rook tongued spacesG
Sheep greens finned falls I shall compose a crisisH
To stun sky black out drive gibbering madI
Trout cock ramJ
That bulk so calmK
On my jealous stareL
Self sufficient as they are '-
-
But no hocus pocus of green angelsM
Damasks with dazzle the threadbare eyeN
My trouble doctor is I see a treeO
And that damn scrupulous tree won't practice wilesP
To beguile sightQ
E g by cant of lightQ
Concoct a DaphneO
My tree stays treeO
-
However I wrench obstinate bark and trunkA
To my sweet will no luminous shapeB
Steps out radiant in limb eye lipB
To hoodwink the honest earth which pointblankA
Spurns such fictionR
As nymphs cold visionR
Will have no counterfeitS
Palmed off on itS
-
No doubt now in dream propertied fall some moon eyedT
Star lucky sleight of hand man watchesG
My jilting lady squander coin gold leaf stock ditchesG
And the opulent air go studded with seedU
While this beggared brainV
Hatches no fortuneR
But from leaf from grassW
Thieves what it has '-
