He Is Safe Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAE FAGH IJKLCMNOPPEQAAFCARST UCVAW

'And it shall come to pass at eventideA
There shall be light ' Lord it hath come to passB
As one day to the world so now to meC
Thine advent My dark eve is white as noonD
My year so sour and green is gold and redA
Mine eyes have seen Thy Goodness All is doneE
-
-
All things bespeak an end I am come nearF
The crown o' this steep earth My feet still standA
Cold in the western shadow but my browG
Lives in the living light The toil is o'erH
Surely 'He giveth His beloved Rest '-
-
-
I feel two worlds one ends and one beginsI
Methinks I dwell in both being much hereJ
But more hereafter even as when the nurseK
Doth give the babe into the mother's armsL
And she who hath not quite resigned and sheC
Who hath not all received support in twainM
The single burden ne'ertheless the babeN
Already tastes its mother Lord I comeO
Thy signs are in me 'He shall wipe awayP
All tears ' Thou see'st my tears are wiped awayP
'There shall be no more pain ' Lord it is doneE
Here there is no more pain 'The sun no moreQ
Shall be their light by day ' even so LordA
I need no light of sun or moon My heartA
Is as a lamp of jasper crystal clearF
Dark when Thy light is out but lit with TheeC
The sun may be a suckling at this breastA
And milk a nobler glory Lord I knowR
Mine hour This painful world that was of thornsS
Is roses Like a fragrance thro' my soulT
I breathe a balm of slumber Let me sleepU
Bring me my easy pillows MargeryC
I am asleep this oak is soft all thingsV
Are rest I sink as into bliss O LordA
Now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peaceW
