Czar Nicholas Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACBAABADEFFG

We could not turn from that colossal foeA
The morning shadow of whose hideous headB
Darkened the furthest West and who did throwA
His evening shade on Ind The polar bowC
Behind him flamed and paled and through the redB
Uncertain dark his vasty shape did growA
Upon the sleepless nations Lay him lowA
Aye low as for our priceless English deadB
We lie and groan to day in England OhA
My God I think Thou hast not finishedD
This Thy fair world where triumph Ill or GoodE
We still must weep where or to lose or gainF
Is woe where Pain is medicined by PainF
And Blood can only be washed out by BloodG
