When the days are long and brightE
And the moon shines all the nightE

When the tender corn is springingA
And the merry thrush is singingA
When the swallows come and goF
On light wings flitting to and froF

When laughing childhood learns by roteG
The cuckoo's oft repeated noteG
When the meads are fresh and greenH
And the hawthorn buds are seenH
Thou wilt think of me loveC

When 'neath April's rainbow skiesI
Violets ope their purple eyesI
When mossy bank and verdant moundJ
Sweet knots of primroses have crownedJ
Thou wilt think of me loveC

When the meadows glitter whiteE
Like a sheet of silver lightE
When blue bells gay and cowslips bloomK
Sweet scented brier and golden broomK

Each bud shall be to thee a tokenL

And the month of joy and gladnessI
Shall but fill thy soul with sadnessI

When thou rov'st the woodland bowersI
