The Luminous Bow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCC DDCC EEFF CGBB HIJJ

THIS REMARKABLE PHENOMENON WAS WITNESSED BY THE AUTHOR ON THE NIGHT OF THE th OF SEPTEMBERA
-
-
Vision of beauty there floats not a cloudB
O'er the blue vault of heaven thy glory to shroudB
The star gemmed horizon thou spannest sublimeC
Like the path to a better and lovelier climeC
-
Thy light unreflected by planet or starD
Still widens and brightens round night's spangled carD
In radiance resembling the moon's placid beamC
When she smiles through the soft mist that hangs on the streamC
-
Thou sittest enthroned like the spirit of nightE
And the stars through thy zone shed a tremulous lightE
The moon is still sleeping beneath the wide seaF
Whilst wonder is keeping her vigils with meF
-
The bow of the covenant brightens the stormC
When its dark wings are shading the brow of the mornG
But thou art uncradled by vapour or cloudB
Thy glory's unshaded by night's sable shroudB
-
Oh whence is thy splendour fair luminous bowH
From light's golden chalice thy radiance must flowI
Thou look'st from the throne of thy beauty aboveJ
On this desolate earth like the spirit of loveJ
