To Jean Ingelow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD EFEFGHDD

When youth was high and life was newA
And days sped musical and fleetB
She stood amid the morning dewA
And sang her earliest measures sweetB
Sang as the lark sings speeding fairC
To touch and taste the purer airC
To gain a nearer view of HeavenD
'Twas then she sang The Songs of SevenD
-
Now farther on in womanhoodE
With train d voice and ripened artF
She gently stands where once she stoodE
And sings from out her deeper heartF
Sing on dear Singer sing againG
And we will listen to the strainH
Till soaring earth greets bending HeavenD
And seven fold songs grow seventy sevenD
