Time To Go. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCC DEEFF GHHII JKKLL AMMNN MOOPP QRSAA TMMAA

They know the time to goA
The fairy clocks strike their inaudible hourB
In field and woodland and each punctual flowerB
Bows at the signal an obedient headC
And hastes to bedC
-
The pale AnemoneD
Glides on her way with scarcely a good nightE
The Violets tie their purple nightcaps tightE
Hand clasped in hand the dancing ColumbinesF
In blithesome linesF
-
Drop their last courtesiesG
Flit from the scene and couch them for their restH
The Meadow Lily folds her scarlet vestH
And hides it 'neath the Grasses' lengthening greenI
Fair and sereneI
-
Her sister Lily floatsJ
On the blue pond and raises golden eyesK
To court the golden splendor of the skiesK
The sudden signal comes and down she goesL
To find reposeL
-
In the cool depths belowA
A little later and the Asters blueM
Depart in crowds a brave and cheery crewM
While Golden rod still wide awake and gayN
Turns him awayN
-
Furls his bright parasolM
And like a little hero meets his fateO
The Gentians very proud to sit up lateO
Next follow Every Fern is tucked and setP
'Neath coverletP
-
Downy and soft and warmQ
No little seedling voice is heard to grieveR
Or make complaints the folding woods beneathS
No lingerer dares to stay for well they knowA
The time to goA
-
Teach us your patience braveT
Dear flowers till we shall dare to part like youM
Willing God's will sure that his clock strikes trueM
That his sweet day augurs a sweeter morrowA
With smiles not sorrowA
