Till The Day Dawn. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBC DEFEG HIJIJ

Why should I weary you dear heart with wordsA
Words all discordant with a foolish painB
Thoughts cannot interrupt or prayers do wrongC
And soft and silent as the summer rainB
Mine fall upon your pathway all day longC
-
Giving as God gives counting not the costD
Of broken box or spilled and fragrant oilE
I know that spite of your strong carelessnessF
Rest must be sweeter worthier must be toilE
Touched with such mute invisible caressG
-
One of these days our weary ways quite trodH
Made free at last and unafraid of menI
I shall draw near and reach to you my handJ
And you Ah well we shall be spirits thenI
I think you will be glad and understandJ
