A Year Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBADAD AEEFGEEHAH IJECCEJAIA EKCFFCKAEA

She has been just a year in HeavenA
Unmarked by white moon or gold sunA
By stroke of clock or clang of bellB
Or shadow lengthening on the wayC
In the full noon and perfect dayC
In Safety's very citadelB
The happy hours have sped have runA
And rapt in peace all pain forgotD
She whom we love her white soul shrivenA
Smiles at the thought and wonders notD
-
We have been just a year aloneA
A year whose calendar is sighsE
And dull perpetual wishfulnessE
And smiles each covert for a tearF
And wandering thoughts half there half hereG
And weariful attempts to guessE
The secret of the hiding skiesE
The soft inexorable blueH
With gleaming hints of glory sownA
And Heaven behind just shining throughH
-
So sweet so sad so swift so slowI
So full of eager growth and lightJ
So full of pain which blindly growsE
So full of thoughts which either wayC
Have passed and crossed and touched each dayC
To us a thorn to her a roseE
The year so black the year so whiteJ
Like rivers twain their course have runA
The earthly stream we trace and knowI
But who shall paint the heavenly oneA
-
A year We gather up our powersE
Our lamps we consecrate and trimK
Open all windows to the dayC
And welcome every heavenly airF
We will press forward and will bearF
Having this word to cheer the wayC
She storm tossed once is safe with HimK
Healed comforted content forgivenA
And while we count these heavy hoursE
Has been a year a year in HeavenA
