| Stand always dully on its base | C |
| I'll change it Let the top be hid | B |

| And as I bade they did | B |

| To see it balance on its tip | E |
| They praised me with the praise that bores | D |
| My godlike mind on every lip | E |
| Until it fell of course | F |

| And then they took my body out | G |
| From my crushed palace mad with rage | H |
| Well half the town WAS wrecked no doubt | G |
| Their crazy anger to assuage | H |
| By dragging it about | G |

| The end Foul birds defile my skull | I |
| The new king's praises fill the land | J |
| He clings to precept simple dull | I |
| HIS pyramids on bases stand | J |
