A Minor Poet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCADEC FDDFGG

I am a shell From me you shall not hearA
The splendid tramplings of insistent drumsB
The orbed gold of the viol's voice that comesB
Heavy with radiance languorous and clearC
Yet if you hold me close against the earA
A dim far whisper rises clamorouslyD
The thunderous beat and passion of the seaE
The slow surge of the tides that drown the mereC
-
Others with subtle hands may pluck the stringsF
Making even Love in music audibleD
And earth one glory I am but a shellD
That moves not of itself and moving singsF
Leaving a fragrance faint as wine new shedG
A tremulous murmur from great days long deadG
