In July Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCCD EEEECDCCD

His beauty bore no tokenA
No sign our gladness shookB
With tender strength unbrokenA
The hand of Life he tookB
But the summer flowers were fallingC
Falling and fading awayD
And mother birds were callingC
Crying and callingC
For their loves that would not stayD
-
He knew not Autumn's chillnessE
Nor Winter's wind nor Spring'sE
He lived with Summer's stillnessE
And sun and sunlit thingsE
But when the dusk was fallingC
He went the shadowy wayD
And one more heart is callingC
Crying and callingC
For the love that would not stayD
