Rhyme Scheme: ABCBCDEDFGHGAABBAAII C

My Phillis hath the morninge SunneA
at first to looke upon herB
And Phillis hath morne waking birdsC
her risinge still to honourB
My Phillis hath prime featherd flowresC
that smile when she treads on themD
And Phillis hath a gallant flockeE
that leapes since she dooth owne themD
But Phillis hath too hard a hartF
alas that she should have itG
It yeelds no mercie to desertH
nor grace to those that crave itG
Sweete Sunne when thou look'st onA
pray her regard my moaneA
Sweete birds when you sing to herB
to yeeld some pitty woo herB
Sweet flowers that she treads onA
tell her her beauty deads oneA
And if in life her love she nill agree meI
Pray her before I die she will come see meI
