Whispers Beneath The Trees Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JAKA LMNM

The river carried your name through evening lightA
Soft winds wandered across the quiet landB
Wild flowers opened their gentle heartsC
As nature held my soul within its handB
-
The trees stood still beneath the painted skyD
Their leaves moved softly with a tender graceE
I felt your love within the silent breezeF
Like sunlight resting warmly on my faceE
-
The distant hills wore shades of fading goldG
Birdsongs floated through the endless airH
Each sound became a secret song of loveI
A melody that followed everywhereH
-
The moon arrived with silver in its handsJ
Stars gathered softly in the peaceful nightA
I saw your memory dancing in the darkK
Turning every shadow into lightA
-
Beneath the trees where quiet moments bloomL
The earth and sky seemed woven into oneM
My heart still keeps your whisper close withinN
Like nature holding love that stays undoneM

Poet's note: I wrote Whispers Beneath the Trees during a quiet evening when nature felt deeply alive and peaceful. The idea came from imagining a moment where someone sits beneath trees while watching the sunset, listening to the river and wind, and remembering a person they love. I did not write it for one specific person. Instead, I wrote it for anyone who has felt love become part of the world around them, where memories and emotions seem to appear in every small detail of nature. The feelings I wanted to express were love, peace, longing, and warmth. I wanted love to feel soft rather than dramatic, like a gentle breeze touching leaves or moonlight resting on the earth. The poem carries the feeling of missing someone while also feeling comforted by their presence in memories and in nature itself. To me, this poem represents the way love can exist beyond words and distance. Sometimes people are not beside us, yet we still find them in places, sounds, and moments. The river, flowers, trees, moon, and stars symbolize the idea that nature quietly keeps emotions alive. The poem reminds me that love is not always loud. Sometimes it is found in silence, in memories, and in the peaceful beauty of the world around us.
