Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GGHHII

Not the soft sighs of vernal galesA
The fragrance of the flowery valesA
The murmurs of the crystal rillB
The vocal grove the verdant hillB
Not all their charms though all uniteC
Can touch my bosom with delightC
-
Not all the gems on India's shoreD
Not all Peru's unbounded storeD
Not all the power nor all the fameE
That heroes kings or poets claimE
Nor knowledge which the learn'd approveF
To form one wish my soul can moveF
-
Yet Nature's charms allure my eyesG
And knowledge wealth and fame I prizeG
Fame wealth and knowledge I obtainH
Nor seek I Nature's charms in vainH
In lovely Stella all combineI
And lovely Stella thou art mineI
