Sonnet Xvii: Why Should I Sing In Verse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEAFAGAA

Why should I sing in verse why should I frameA
These sad neglected notes for her dear sakeB
Why should I offer up onto her nameA
The sweetest sacrifice my youth can makeB
Why should I strive to make her live for everC
That never deigns to give me joy to liveD
Why should m'afflicted Muse so much endeavorC
Such honor unto cruelty to giveE
If her defects have purchas'd her this fameA
What should her virtues do her smiles her loveF
If this her worst how should her best enflameA
What passions would her milder favors moveG
Favors I think would sense quite overcomeA
And that makes happy Lovers ever dumbA
