Sonnet Vii: O Had She Not Been Fair Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

O had she not been fair and thus unkindA
Then had no finger pointed at my lightnessB
The world had never known what I do findA
And clouds obscure had shaded still her brightnessB
Then had no censor's eye these lines survey'dC
Nor graver brows have judg'd my Muse so vainD
No sun my blush and error had bewray'dC
Nor yet the world had heard of such disdainD
Then had I walk'd with bold erected faceE
No downcast look had signified my missF
But my degraded hopes with such disgraceE
Did force me groan out griefs and utter thisF
For being full should not I then have spokenG
My sense oppress'd had fail'd and heart had brokenG
