Sonnet Vi: Fair Is My Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Fair is my love and cruel as she's fairA
Her brow shades frowns although her eyes are sunnyB
Her smiles are lightning though her pride despairA
And her disdains are gall her favors honeyB
A modest maid deck'd with a blush of honorC
Whose feet do tread green paths of youth and loveD
The wonder of all eyes that look upon herC
Sacred on earth design'd a saint aboveD
Chastity and Beauty which are deadly foesE
Live reconciled friends within her browF
And had she pity to conjoin with thoseE
Then who had heard the plaints I utter nowF
O had she not been fair and thus unkindG
My Muse had slept and none had known my mindG
