Sonnet Lvii: Like As The Lute Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEBFBGG| Like as the lute that joys or else dislikes | A |
| As in his art that plays upon the same | B |
| So sounds my Muse according as she strikes | A |
| On my heart strings high tun'd unto her fame | B |
| Her touch doth cause the warble of the sound | C |
| Which here I yield in lamentable wise | D |
| A wailing descant on the sweetest ground | C |
| Whose due reports give honor to her eyes | D |
| Else harsh my style untunable my Muse | E |
| Hoarse sounds the voice that praiseth not her name | B |
| If any pleasing relish here I use | F |
| Then judge the world her beauty gives the same | B |
| O happy ground that makes the music such | G |
| And blessed hand that gives so sweet a touch | G |
