Sonnet Li: I Must Not Grieve My Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDEEFEFGH

I must not grieve my Love whose eyes would readA
Lines of delight whereon her youth might smileB
Flowers have a time before they come to seedC
And she is young and now must sport the whileB
Ah sport sweet Maid in season of these yearsD
And learn to gather flowers before they witherE
And where the sweetest blossoms first appearsD
Let love and youth conduct thy pleasures thitherE
Lighten forth smiles to clear the clouded airE
And calm the tempest which my sighs do raiseF
Pity and smiles do best become the fairE
Pity and smiles shall yield thee lasting praiseF
I hope to say when all my griefs are goneG
Happy the heart that sigh'd for such a oneH
