Sonnet Ix: If This Be Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDEFGHGAA

If this be love to draw a weary breathA
Paint on floods till the shore cry to th'airB
With downward looks still reading on the earthC
The sad memorials of my love's despairB
If this be love to war against my soulD
Lie down to wail rise up to sigh and grieve meE
The never resting stone of care to rollD
Still to complain my griefs and none relieve meE
If this be love to clothe me with dark thoughtsF
Haunting untrodden paths to wail apartG
My pleasures horror music tragic notesH
Tears in my eyes and sorrow at my heartG
If this be love to live a living deathA
O then love I and draw this weary breathA
