Sonnet Iv: These Plaintive Verses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGFGHH

These plaintive verses the Posts of my desireA
Which haste for succour to her slow regardB
Bear not report of any slender fireA
Forging a grief to win a fame's rewardC
Nor are my passions limn'd for outward hueD
For that no colors can depaint my sorrowsE
Delia herself and all the world may viewD
Best in my face how cares hath till'd deep forrowsE
No Bays I seek to deck my mourning browF
O clear eyed Rector of the holy HillG
My humble accents crave the Olive boughF
Of her mild pity and relenting willG
These lines I use t'unburden mine own heartH
My love affects no fame nor 'steems of artH
