Sonnet I: Unto The Boundless Ocean Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGFGAA

Unto the boundless Ocean of thy beautyA
Runs this poor river charg'd with streams of zealB
Returning thee the tribute of my dutyA
Which here my love my youth my plaints revealB
Here I unclasp the book of my charg'd soulC
Where I have cast th'accounts of all my careD
Here have I summ'd my sighs here I enrollC
How they were spent for thee look what they areE
Look on the dear expences of my youthF
And see how just I reckon with thine eyesG
Examine well they beauty in my truthF
And cross my cares ere greater sums ariseG
Read it sweet maid though it be done but slightlyA
Who can show all his love doth love but lightlyA
