Delia Xlv: Care-charmer Sleep, Son Of The Sable Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDCECEFGFGHH

XLVA
Care charmer Sleep son of the sable NightB
Brother to Death in silent darkness bornC
Relieve my languish and restore the lightB
With dark forgetting of my cares returnD
And let the day be time enough to mournC
The shipwreck of my ill adventur'd youthE
Let waking eyes suffice to wail their scornC
Without the torment of the night's untruthE
Cease dreams th' imagery of our day desiresF
To model forth the passions of the morrowG
Never let rising sun approve you liarsF
To add more grief to aggravate my sorrowG
Still let me sleep embracing clouds in vainH
And never wake to feel the day's disdainH
