Life's A Charade Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEFGGHIJK LMNOBP QRBCSTUVSW

I saw him standing beside the locker glancing at his exceptional PSAT scoreA
The glimmer of pride in his eyes gleamed galoreA
He carresed his golden bronze hair gentlyB
Which was enough to raise a million heartbeats instantlyB
He looked up from his papers in a whip only to flaunt his emerald green eyesC
Which were like the forest's leaves with specks of sunlight blazing throughD
His deep and enigmatic eyes hid a hint of painE
Where one could get lost if stared long enough without restraintF
Hardvard would trade all their elite students for this chapG
For he was an academic beast in the entire Santa Rosa mapG
I would trade everything to switch lives with himH
For who wouldn't want to be whip smart and wallow in extravagant luxury in South CaliforniaI
The blaring sound of bell ringing brought my back to my sensesJ
And I realised he caught me staring at him like a fox in a chicken coopK
-
Oh my stars and gartersL
What cheesy excuse was I to come up withM
I swiftly turned around after giving an edgy smileN
And didn't mind being known as an imbecileO
I hastened my way through the corridor like an overgrown puppyB
Dodging my way through a clan of boisterous ladsP
-
Wondering why she sprinted out like a scalded catQ
I slung my backpack over my shoulder and headed to classR
There she was the only Indian girl in the ValleyB
With simple yet charming chestnut brown eyesC
I couldn't help but go gaga over the hand knitted sweater her granny had gifted herS
It might not have been from Gucci but isn't family what no money can buyT
My eyes brimmed like a fizz oozing out of a soda drinkU
For the last time I had dinner with my family was when my dad had missed his fight to the Grammys' a couple of years agoV
I would trade everything to switch lives with herS
For who wouldn't want to be deluged with a family's incomparable love in this bustling worldW
