A Protean Glimpse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCAADDEFEFGGHHIJKK

Time and I pass to and froA
Hardly greeting as we goA
Go askant like crossing wingsB
Of sea gulls where the brave sea singsB
-
Time the messenger of FateC
Cunning master of debateC
Cunning soother of all sorrowA
Ruthless robber of to morrowA
Tyrant to our dallying feetD
Though patron of a life completeD
Like Puck upon a rosy cloudE
He rides to distance while we woo himF
Like pale Remorse wrapped in a shroudE
He brings the world in sackcloth to himF
O dimly seen and often metG
As shadowings of a wild regretG
O king of us yet feebly servedH
Dispenser of the dooms reservedH
So silent at the folly doneI
So deadly when our respite's goneJ
As sea gulls slanting cross at seaK
So cross our rapid flights with theeK
