On The Farm Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE AFGHI JKLMN OPQFR S

There was Dai Puw He was no goodA
They put him in the fields to dock swedesB
And took the knife from him when he came homeC
At late evening with a grinD
Like the slash of a knife on his faceE
-
There was Llew Puw and he was no goodA
Every evening after the ploughingF
With the big tractor he would sit in his chairG
And stare into the tangled fire gardenH
Opening his slow lips like a snailI
-
There was Huw Puw too What shall I sayJ
I have heard him whistling in the hedgesK
On and on as though winterL
Would never again leave those fieldsM
And all the trees were deformedN
-
And lastly there was the girlO
Beauty under some spell of the beastP
Her pale face was the lanternQ
By which they read in life's dark bookF
The shrill sentence God is loveR
