Grand Avenue Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIC

When the Lexus hit that pigeon he lay thereA
beating his one good wing against the curbB
like he was trying to put out a fireC
My wife asked me to do something so ID
turned his head clockwise until I heardE
a click Then darkness poured outF
of the small safe of his bodyG
That is when I realized I used toH
merely love my wifeI
Now I would kill for herC
