Fault Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKL AAMN

In the airport bar I tell my mother not to worryA
No one ever tripped and fell into the San AndreasB
Fault But as she dabs at her dry eyes I rememberC
those old movies where the earth does openD
-
There's always one blonde entomologist fourE
deceitful explorers and a pilot who's good lookingF
but not smart enough to take off his leather jacketG
in the jungleH
-
Still he and Dr Cutie Bug are the only onesI
who survive the spectacular quake becauseJ
they spent their time making plans to go backK
to the Mid West and live near his parentsL
-
while the others wanted to steal the gold and ivoryA
then move to Los Angeles where they would rarelyA
call their mothers and almost never fly homeM
and when they did for only a few days at a timeN
