To The House Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKL

I am heaping the bones of the old motherA
To build us a hold against the host of the airB
Granite the blood heat of her youthC
Held molten in hot darkness against the heartD
Hardened to temper under the feetE
Of the ocean cavalry that are maned with snowF
And march from the remotest westG
This is the primitive rock here in the wetH
Quarry under the shadow of wavesI
Whose hollows mouthed the dawn little house each stoneJ
Baptized from that abysmal fontK
The sea and the secret earth gave bonds to affirm youL
