To A Young Artist Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGAFFHIJGKLMFFG FN O

It is good for strength not to be mercifulA
To its own weakness good for the deep urn to runB
over good to exploreC
The peaks and the deeps who can endure itD
Good to be hurt who can be healed afterward butE
you that have whetted consciousnessF
Too bitter an edge too keenly daringG
So that the color of a leaf can make you trembleA
and your own thoughts like harriersF
Tear the live mind were your bones mountainsF
Your blood rivers to endure it and all that laborH
of discipline labors to deathI
Delight is exquisite pain is more presentJ
You have sold the armor you have bought shiningG
with burning one should be stronger thanK
strengthL
To fight baresark in the stabbing fieldM
In the rage of the stars I tell you unconsciousnessF
is the treasure the tower the fortressF
Referred to that one may live anythingG
The temple and the tower poor dancer on the flintsF
and shards in the temple porches turn homeN
