Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLThe coast hills at Sovranes Creek | A |
No trees but dark scant pasture drawn thin | B |
Over rock shaped like flame | C |
The old ocean at the land's foot the vast | D |
Gray extension beyond the long white violence | E |
A herd of cows and the bull | F |
Far distant hardly apparent up the dark slope | G |
And the gray air haunted with hawks | H |
This place is the noblest thing I have ever seen | I |
No imaginable | J |
Human presence here could do anything | K |
But dilute the lonely self watchful passion | L |
