That make humanity ridiculous remainC
Beautiful in the whole fabric excesses that balance each otherD
Like the paired wings of a flying birdE
Misery and riches civilization and squalid savageryF
Mass war and the odor of unmanly peaceG
Tragic flourishes above and below the normal of lifeH
In order to value this fretful timeI
It is necessary to remember our norm the unaltered passionsA
The same colored wings of imaginationJ
That the crowd clips in lonely places new grown the unchangedK
Lives of herdsmen and mountain farmsL
Where men are few and few tools a few weapons and theirM
dawns are beautifulN
From here for normal one sees both waysO
And listens to the splendor of God the exact poet the sonorousP
Antistrophe of desolation to the strophe multitudeQ
