Rearmament Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKGICLMMN

These grand and fatal movements toward death the grandeurA
of the massB
Makes pity a fool the tearing pityC
For the atoms of the mass the persons the victims makes itD
seem monstrousE
To admire the tragic beauty they buildF
It is beautiful as a river flowing or a slowly gatheringG
Glacier on a high mountain rock faceH
Bound to plow down a forest or as frost in NovemberI
The gold and flaming death dance for leavesJ
Or a girl in the night of her spent maidenhood bleeding andK
kissingG
I would burn my right hand in a slow fireI
To change the future I should do foolishly The beautyC
of modernL
Man is not in the persons but in theM
Disastrous rhythm the heavy and mobile masses the dance of theM
Dream led masses down the dark mountainN
