Let Them Alone Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJ

If God has been good enough to give you a poetA
Then listen to him But for God's sake let him alone until he is deadB
no prizes no ceremonyC
They kill the man A poet is one who listensD
To nature and his own heart and if the noise of the world grows upE
around him and if he is tough enoughF
He can shake off his enemies but not his friendsG
That is what withered Wordsworth and muffled Tennyson and would haveH
killed Keats that is what makesI
Hemingway play the fool and Faulkner forget his artJ
