Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEDFGDHDIJK

Inside a cave in a narrow canyon near TassajaraA
The vault of rock is painted with handsB
A multitude of hands in the twilight a cloud of men's palms noC
moreA
No other picture There's no one to sayD
Whether the brown shy quiet people who are dead intendedE
Religion or magic or made their tracingsD
In the idleness of art but over the division of years these carefulF
Signs manual are now like a sealed messageG
Saying 'Look we also were human we had hands not pawsD
All hailH
You people with the cleverer hands our supplantersD
In the beautiful country enjoy her a season her beauty andI
come downJ
And be supplanted for you also are human 'K
