I saw on the Sierras up the Kaweah valley above theC
Moro rock the mountain redwoodsH
Like red towers on the slopes of snow about theirI
bases grew a bushery of Christmas greenJ
Firs and pines to be monuments for pilgrimageK
In Europe I remembered the Swiss forests the darkL
robes of Pilatus no trunk like these thereI
But these are underwood they are only a shrubberyM
about the boles of the treesN

They have powers in the mass they accomplish marvelsP
It is possible Time will make them before itQ
