The Beacon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABA ACDC AEFE GHBH AIJI IKGD

The silent shepherdessA
She of my vowsA
Here with me exchanging loveB
Under dim boughsA
-
Shines on our mysteriesA
A sudden sparkC
Dout the candle glow wormD
Let all be darkC
-
The birds have sung their last notesA
The Sun's to bedE
Glow worm dout your candleF
The glow worm saidE
-
I also am a loverG
The lamp I displayH
Is beacon for my true loveB
Wandering astrayH
-
Through the thick bushesA
And the grass comes sheI
With a heartload of longingJ
And love for meI
-
Sir enjoy your fancyI
But spare me harmK
A lover is a loverG
Though but a wormD
