Sullen Moods Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDF GHIH JK K LMLM NHHH OPOP QHQH

Love do not count your labour lostA
Though I turn sullen grim retiredB
Even at your side my thought is crossedA
With fancies by old longings firedC
-
And when I answer you some daysD
Vaguely and wildly do not fearE
That my love walks forbidden waysD
Breaking the ties that hold it hereF
-
If I speak gruffly this mood isG
Mere indignation at my ownH
Shortcomings plagues uncertaintiesI
I forget the gentler toneH
-
'You ' now that you have come to beJ
My one beginning prime and endK
I count at last as wholly 'me '-
Lover no longer nor yet friendK
-
Friendship is flattery though close hidL
Must I then flatter my own mindM
And must which laws of shame forbidL
Blind love of you make self love blindM
-
Do not repay me my own coinN
The sharp rebuke the frown the groanH
No stir my memory to disjoinH
Your emanation from my ownH
-
Help me to see you as beforeO
When overwhelmed and dead almostP
I stumbled on that secret doorO
Which saves the live man from the ghostP
-
Be once again the distant lightQ
Promise of glory not yet knownH
In full perfection wasted quiteQ
When on my imperfection thrownH
