Smoke-rings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCC BDDEEFFGGHHIIJJKK

BOYA
Most venerable and learned sirB
Tall and true PhilosopherB
These rings of smoke you blow all dayC
With such deep thought what sense have theyC
-
PHILOSOPHERB
Small friend with prayer and meditationD
I make an image of CreationD
And if your mind is working nimbleE
Straightway you'll recognize a symbolE
Of the endless and eternal ringF
Of God who girdles everythingF
God who in His own form and planG
Moulds the fugitive life of manG
These vaporous toys you watch me makeH
That shoot ahead pause turn and breakH
Some glide far out like sailing shipsI
Some weak ones fail me at my lipsI
He who ringed His awe in smokeJ
When He led forth His captive folkJ
In like manner East West North and SouthK
Blows us ring wise from His mouthK
