Walking through trees to cool my heat and painA
I know that David's with me here againB
All that is simple happy strong he isC
Caressingly I strokeD
Rough hark of the friendly oakD
A brook goes bubbling by the voice is hisC
Turf burns with pleasant smokeD
I laugh at chaffinch and at primrosesE
All that is simple happy strong he isC
Over the whole wood in a little whileF
Breaks his slow smileF
