To The United States Of America Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABBA CDCEFE

Brothers in blood They who this wrong beganA
To wreck our commonwealth will rue the dayB
When first they challenged freeman to the frayB
And with the Briton dared the AmericanC
Now are we pledged to win the Rights of manA
Labour and Justice now shall have their wayB
And in a League of Peace God grant we mayB
Transform the earth not patch up the old planA
-
Sure is our hope since he who led your nationC
Spake for mankind and ye arose in aweD
Of that high call to work the world's salvationC
Clearing your minds of all estrangling blindnessE
In the vision of Beauty and the Spirit's lawF
Freedom and Honour and sweet LovingkindnessE
