So Sweet Love Seemed That April Morn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EFGG HHII

So sweet love seemed that April mornA
When first we kissed beside the thornA
So strangely sweet it was not strangeB
We thought that love could never changeB
-
But I can tell let truth be toldC
That love will change in growing oldC
Though day by day is naught to seeD
So delicate his motions beD
-
And in the end 'twill come to passE
Quite to forget what once he wasF
Nor even in fancy to recallG
The pleasure that was all in allG
-
His little spring that sweet we foundH
So deep in summer floods is drownedH
I wonder bathed in joy completeI
How love so young could be so sweetI
