Spring Pools Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABCBDEFGHGH| These pools that though in forests still reflect | A |
| The total sky almost without defect | A |
| And like the flowers beside them chill and shiver | B |
| Will like the flowers beside them soon be gone | C |
| And yet not out by any brook or river | B |
| But up by roots to bring dark foliage on | D |
| The trees that have it in their pent up buds | E |
| To darken nature and be summer woods | F |
| Let them think twice before they use their powers | G |
| To blot out and drink up and sweep away | H |
| These flowery waters and these watery flowers | G |
| From snow that melted only yesterday | H |
