Rose Pogonias Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFG HIJIKLCL MNHNKIMI

A saturated meadowA
Sun shaped and jewel smallB
A circle scarcely widerC
Than the trees around were tallB
Where winds were quite excludedD
And the air was stifling sweetE
With the breath of many flowersF
A temple of the hearG
-
There we bowed us in the burningH
As the sun's right worship isI
To pick where none could miss themJ
A thousand orchisesI
For though the grass was scatteredK
yet every second spearL
Seemed tipped with wings of colorC
That tinged the atmosphereL
-
We raised a simple prayerM
Before we left the spotN
That in the general mowingH
That place might be forgotN
Or if not all so favoredK
Obtain such grace of hoursI
that none should mow the grass thereM
While so confused with flowersI
